We have several scholarships available for eligible candidates to apply for. Scholarships will cover up to 100% of the registration fees for the year and are available to those applying for The Court Youth Company or Jester Youth Company.

There are three scholarship categories to choose from:

Represent
This scholarship is to provide assistance and promotion of students from a relevant minority group, who demonstrate a commitment to the arts and show promise in their performance abilities. Minority groups which are eligible for this scholarship can be from cultural (Maori, Pacific Island, Asian etc…) or social minorities (Disability, Neuro-diverse, etc…). Priority will be given to students with relevant academic merit and financial need.

Promote
This scholarship is available to an aspiring performer who can demonstrate previous success and commitment in an area of the performing arts and displays a passion for pursuing the arts further.

Uplift - Proudly Supported By The Friends of The Court Theatre
This scholarship is to provide assistance to a promising candidate for whom finances would otherwise be a barrier.

Selection Criteria: Selection is based on a rating system judged in four categories. The candidate with the highest combined cumulative points will receive the scholarship. These
categories are:

  • Quality of submission
  • Prior arts experience
  • Supporting references
  • Quality of audition
