Exploring Perfromance Styles

15 - 18 April
Ages 8-11

An intensive 4 days of exploring different styles and genres of performance inspired by watching The Time Machine together at The Court Theatre. Working with professional artists to produce a piece of theatre for friends and family at the end of the week. From Drama to comedy and Musical to Mime, this four day intensive will explore the different performance skills and techniques required when looking at many different genres with a strong focus on ensemble movement. The group will work towards presenting a performance at the end of the week. This programme is ideally suited for children with an interest in performance.

(final performance at 3pm on Thursday)

Improv Bootcamp

23 and 24 April
Ages 12-16

Two days of improv training with the hilarious Court Jesters. A great way to step up your improvisation skills in advance of the Theatresports Comp later this year and a way to meet other young improvisers from around Christchurch. With a chance for an improvised showcase performance on the main stage of The Court theatre. Learn the amazing skill of thinking on your feet and being spontaneous!
