Theatresports™ in Schools is an annual competition for improvised theatre held by The Court Theatre. School teams of up to six perform scenes and games based on audience suggestions, scored by a judging panel of The Court Jesters. Teams who progress through the heats are invited to participate in the grand finale at The Court Theatre.

Heat 4 - 11am (10am call time)
Heat 5 - 2pm (1pm call time)
Heat 6 - 5pm (4pm call time)
Semi-Final (If Needed): Sunday 8th September at 6:30pm (call time of 5:30pm)
Finals: Sunday 15th September at 6:30pm (with a call time of 5:30pm)

Coaching Sessions 2024
These coaching sessions are a great opportunity for teams wanting some tutoring from The Court Jesters, and are included in the registration fee. Schools may choose one session each for coaches, juniors, and senior teams. They are held on-site at The Court Theatre.
Coaches Training (Senior and Junior) - Wednesday 26th June 4:30pm -6pm
Coaches Training (Junior) - Wednesday 23rd October 4:30pm - 6pm
Senior Teams Training - Sunday 4th or 11th August, 1pm - 4pm
Junior Teams Training - Sunday 3rd or 10th November, 1pm -4pm

1 Team (Junior or Senior): $250.00
2 Teams (Junior and/or Senior): $460.00
3 Teams (Junior and/or Senior): $630.00
4 Teams (Junior and/or Senior): $720.00
(Prices are exclusive of GST)
Please note: Years 7-9 are Junior and Years 11-13 are Senior. Students in Year 10 may choose whether to compete in the Junior or Senior category (but are only permitted to perform in one of these).
In the 2024 Competition teams are able to enter more than one Junior or Senior Team.
Registration fees cover entry into the competitions as well as professional sessions with a Court Jester.
We do have scholarship places available for schools who are unable to fund the registration fees, please let us know if you are interested in finding out how to apply for these.
