We have several scholarships available for eligible candidates to apply for. Scholarships will cover up to 100% of the registration fees for the year and are available to those applying for The Court Youth Companies or Youth Crew.
There are three scholarship categories to choose from:
Represent
This scholarship is to provide assistance and promotion of students from a relevant minority group, who demonstrate a commitment to the arts or art production and show promise in their performance or technical abilities. Minority groups which are eligible for this scholarship can be from cultural (Maori, Pacific Island, Asian etc…) or social minorities (Disability, Neuro-diverse, etc…). Priority will be given to students with relevant academic merit and financial need.
Promote
This scholarship is available to an aspiring young person who can demonstrate previous success and commitment in an area of theatre production, or other relevant field, and displays a passion for pursuing a career in arts production.
Uplift - Proudly Supported By The Friends of The Court Theatre
This scholarship is to provide assistance to a promising candidate for whom finances would otherwise be a barrier.
Selection Criteria: Selection is based on a rating system judged in three categories. The candidate with the highest combined cumulative points will receive the scholarship. These categories are:
- Quality of submission
- Prior arts production or other technical experience
- Supporting references
