Junior Holiday Intensive

Ages: 8 – 11-year-olds

Come and spend a fun-filled week at the Court Theatre immersing yourself in the wonder of performing! Our Teaching Artists will guide a vibrant week of creativity where participants will play games, make new friends and bring exciting characters and fun scenarios to life.

Clowning and Physical Theatre!

Come and join Teaching Artist Greta Casey-Solly for a week of physical theatre, clowning and musical fun. We will be creating our own new piece of theatre based on your imagination! Bring your voice, instruments and creative energy, and we’ll make something completely original, which will be performed to friends and family on stage at The Court Theatre!

Times: 9am-3pm

Senior Holiday Intensive

Ages: 12 – 15-year-olds
Monday 20 January - Friday 24 January

Immerse yourself in the wonder of performing in a week-long intensive at The Court Theatre developing skills in a variety of theatre practices. You will have fun and be challenged to work with a high level of creativity.

Soundpainting - the art of composing a performance, live!

Having just returned just returned from studying soundpainting in Sweden, Teaching Artist Lisa Allan is excited to share this vibrant system with young creatives here in Ōtautahi, Christchurch. A 'soundpainter' stands in front of a group of performers and uses signs/gestures to communicate what they should do. During the week, participants will learn a series of signs and work in groups to compose their own short piece of live performance on stage at The Court Theatre!
