Drama Classes

Develop performance and creative thinking skills in a fun environment at The Court Theatre. Our new Court in the City premises are purpose-built performance spaces that will inspire and bring the best out of our students.

Each class runs for 8 weeks, except for Term 3 which runs for the full term working towards a showcase performed for whānau! Led by professional theatre makers, participants learn skills around acting, voice, devising and how to work creatively as part of a team - abilities that will stay with them for life.

Introduces the basic concepts of building performance and drama. A creative and fun session which will build confidence and increase skills.

An advancement on Drama 3, exploring performance skills in more depth and an excellent preparation for The Court Youth Company. Participants will develop skills in a variety of theatre practices and be challenged to work with a high level of professional practice.

Scholarships

Financial scholarships are available for all programmes and anyone can apply! We have a limited number of scholarships available.

Scholarships will cover 25-100% of the registration fees for the year. To apply, identify the scholarship that is the best fit for you. Explain how you identify with the descriptions and what you hope to get out of being a part of the Court Theatre Youth Company.
