Amy Straker has been working in professional theatre for over 10 years. After graduating from NASDA in 2005, Amy began her career with an internship at The Court Theatre.
She has appeared in numerous productions at The Court including Oliver!; Long Days Journey into Night; Flagons & Foxtrots; Doubt, Guys and Dolls; The Country Wife; La Cage Aux folles; Honour; The Great Gatsby; Homeland; Glorious; Cabaret; Pacific Post; The Women; Amadeus; The Great Art War; Snap!; , Ache and That Bloody Woman.
Amy has also worked in Wellington with Downstage Theatre and Ensemble Impact, as well as collaborating with Site Specific and Kidzstuff.
Other theatre credits include Jane Eyre, Boeing Boeing (Fortune Theatre - Dunedin); Waiting Room (Shaky Isles- London) Guys and Dolls, That Bloody Woman, Billy Elliot: The Musical (Auckland Theatre Company) and mostly recently, the national tour of That Bloody Woman (Tour Makers).
Amy is also a singer/songwriter under the name Amy Grace and is in a duo called The Swan Sisters. Amy is a proud member of Actors Equity.
